This all-electric owner-designed home wanted to reduce operational and embodied carbon in design and construction while creating a healthy and comfortable environment for a young family. Located on a small, subdivided lot in Fremantle, WA it makes the most of its outlook whilst also maximising the northern orientation of the site. Using only 6-9kWh per day total during summer, drawing on a solar PV grid connected system, and boasting efficient design and appliances, this compact home is well worth a visit.
