Javelina Summit Buckeye, Arizona
Javelina Summit overlooks the community of Verrado and on into the Phoenix Valley. The view is spectacular. Hiking is year-round. The trail is 4.2 miles and takes about 2.5 hours. The trail starts on the Tortuga Trail then branches off onto the Javelina Summit Trail. The trail is considered difficult due to the steepness and small amount of scrambling up some rock areas. Wear good shoes, bring ample amount of water, there's little access to shade on the trail and there are no bikes allowed on the Javelina Summit Trail.
