Groom Creek Loop Trail Prescott Arizona
Groom Creek is located in Prescott National Forest. The Groom Creek Loop Trail is a 9-mile loop that reaches the Spruce Mountain Fire Lookout. The tower is used during the fire season, diligently looking for any fires. The elevation at the tower is 7693-feet, the elevation at the trailhead is 6400-feet. Spruce Mountain got its name from the early settlers, they mistook the fir trees as spruce trees, there are no spruce trees on Spruce Mountain.
