Mykonos Greece is one of Greece's most popular islands. It's host to beautiful beaches and the quaint white houses and buildings. The windmills add to the flavor of this small island, initially constructed between the 16th and 20 centuries, these windmills were used to grind wheat. There are over 1200 churches on the Island of Mykonos, a church for every family. The Castle of Mykonos was reconstructed in 1207. The most photographed church on the island, Panagia Paraportian, was built in the 17th Century. Little Venice was developed from the numerous ships that came into port over the years bringing with them the influence of Venice, Italy.
