How to import After Effects Project files into Premiere Pro or vice versa
If you are editing a video using Adobe Premiere Pro, and want to connect the project file to After Effect, you must import it first. For example, I have created a sequence and saved it into a Premiere Pro project file.
To put that project file into After Effects, go to File in the Menu. Import. Then select Import Adobe Premiere Pro Project. After that, find the Premiere Pro file that you want to add to After Effects. When it is found, select the file and click Open.
In the Premiere Pro Importer window, you can specify what you want to import. In this tutorial, I want to add all the Sequences along with the audio. On the Compotion file, drag and drop it to the timeline in After Effects. If you double click on the composition file, then we will see the clip files that were imported from Premiere Pro.
In a text file, we can still make edits. But if you want to put the After Effects project file into Premiere Pro, you also have to import it. I will create a New Project first in Premiere Pro. And now go to File in the Menu. Select Import.
Then find the After Effects project file that you want to add in Premiere Pro. After that, choose the main Composition file name. Then choose Ok. If it appears in the Project panel, then we only need to drag and drop the file into the timeline. If we still want to make changes, then we can do it in After Effects. And don't forget to press Control + S to save the new changes.
