Dr Edward Ransley obtained his Bachelor and master's degrees at University of Cambridge and PhD from the University of Plymouth. He is now a research fellow at the University of Plymouth, working on various wave-structural interaction topics including renewable energy devices and coastal engineering problems. He has been a main organiser of the CCP-WSI community and been in charge of a series of blind comparisons between experiments and CFD to validate relevant WSI code. He has substantial publications in prestigious journals such as Journal of Coastal Research, Renewable Energy and International Journal of Offshore and Polar Engineering
