Dr Josh Davidson is from Australia and obtained his Bachelor and PhD degrees there from the James Cook University. Then he moved to Ireland to work for the Centre of Ocean Energy Research, where he led various projects for the design and optimisation of renewable energy devices. He is now a research fellow at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics; he teaches OpenFOAM and continues performing research regarding numerical methods for wave modelling, wave-structural interaction, and other hydrodynamic problems. He has substantial publications in prestigious journals such as Applied Energy, Energies and Ocean Engineering.
