Formatting Date and Time
Spreadsheets can display date and time in several ways. Dates can be displayed as a short date (6/12/21) or a long date (June 12, 2021 Saturday). Time can be displayed in a 12-hour or 24-hour clock format. Time formats can also include seconds and even date information.
Formatting Dates
There are several date formats available in
Spreadsheet. These can be short data, which only
show numbers, or a long date that includes the day
of the week.
Spreadsheets assume that you are entering a date
if you enter three numbers separated by dashes (–)
or forward slashes (/).
The date format is composed of the following
components: d for day, m for month, and y for year.
