WWW and Web Browser
The World Wide Web (WWW) or Web is the most popular tool in the Internet. It consists of electronic documents called Web pages.
Web pages may contain text, pictures, sounds, or videos. Just like a book, a collection of Web pages is called a website. Examples of a website are Google, Facebook, and Achievers Website.
A Web browser is an application software that is used to connect to the Internet. Some examples of Web browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
MAIN PARTS OF A WEB BROWSER
The Back button lets you go back to the Web page that you previously visited.
The Forward button will be available once you pressed the Back button. This button allows you to go back to the page before you clicked the Back button.
The Refresh/Stop button lets you reload the Web page or stop the loading of a Web page.
The Home button lets you go back to the default home page. This page will be the first page that you will see when you open the Web browser.
The Address bar displays the address of the website that is currently displayed. It is also the part of the Web browser where you could type the address of the website you want to visit.
The Web page display is where the contents of a Web page are displayed.
