Israel rescues hostage from Hamas tunnel in ‘complex’ Gaza raid
Israel has rescued from Gaza a hostage kidnapped by Hamas, after American-mediated talks to end the war and free all remaining hostages foundered over the weekend.

The Israeli military said Qaid Farhan Alkadi, a 52-year-old Israeli Arab from the town of Rahat, was freed during the “complex operation” in southern Gaza.
It did not immediately provide details of the operation but said he had been taken to hospital in stable condition. The military spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, said Alkadi was rescued from a tunnel. Israeli television stations showed a military helicopter delivering him to a hospital with ambulances standing by.
