Russian drones and missiles bombarded Ukraine for the second night in a row, killing at least four people, although many of the attacks were intercepted.
Air-raid sirens sounded across the country in the early hours of Tuesday, following up on a “massive” attack on energy infrastructure the previous night. Sixteen people were wounded.
Russia launched ten missiles and 81 drones during the latest assault, of which five missiles and 60 drones were shot down, according to the Ukrainian air force. “Everything that flew to the capital of Ukraine was destroyed,” Serhiy Popko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, said in a statement via the Telegram messaging app.
President Zelensky vowed to respond to the killing of four people and said: “Crimes against humanity cannot be committed with impunity.”
