Correction and clarification about recording audio and/or video during checkrides:
In this episode, I stated that recording checkrides is prohibited by the FAA. That is what I remember being taught during my FAA training last year in Oklahoma City. I went looking for a specific reference and was surprised to learn that the FAA does not officially prohibit recording during checkrides, but they discourage it and strongly recommend that examiners not allow any audio or video recording during checkrides.
