My mom almost had to abort me due to doctor's order | How a bidan and bomoh saved me
When my mom was pregnant with me, the doctor mistakenly diagnosed my mom as having molar pregnancy and ordered an abortion to be done. My mom was crying when a Malay midwife (bidan) who was her colleague happened to come in and asked what was wrong. When told what happened, she offered to take my mom to a Malay medium or healer (bomoh) for a spiritual 'second opinion'. The bomoh determined that it was a real child inside, my mom hang on to her words with faith and refused the abortion. She subsequently developed further life threatening medical condition which mysteriously vanished right after I was born.
