Don't let TMJ or TMD jaw pain get you down! Get relief with physical therapy exercises that can reduce jaw clicking and tension. Join me on this journey to a pain-free, healthy smile. Together we'll explore the simple activities that can bring relief and help you feel your best again.
Setup
-Begin sitting upright.
-Open your mouth and use your opposite side pinkie finger to trace outside of your top teeth back.
-Follow bone as high up and back as you can go.
Movement
-Close your mouth slightly while maintaining a tolerable amount of pressure to this region as you let your jaw muscles relax.
Tip
-Make sure that your fingernail is cut short to protect your gums, keeping in mind that this is a very sensitive area.
-Wash your hands or wear gloves before starting the exercise.
