Important Features of Boost Converter
In Boost Converter power is transferred from low voltage side to high voltage side.

It steps up output voltage but steps down output current.

Average output voltage is greater than fixed DC input source voltage.

It is also a current to voltage converter due to the use of inductor in input side and a capacitor in across the load.
