Easy Watercolor - 4 products and 2 projects
Simple, quick watercolor cards that would be an easy foray into watercolor elements for a beginner. Today we’re using four different watercolor products to make four versions of the same card.
On the first cards (tree) we made a watercolor field, allowed to dry, then stamped in dye ink. On the second cards (flower) we stamped in hybrid ink, then applied watercolor pigments. For the flowers, the color portion was completely dry before applying metallic watercolor to the centers.
The paper you use is very important. Mixed media and watercolor paper is “sized”, or treated with water-resistant materials, both internally and externally. This allows water to move on the paper without being immediately absorbed.
