Hello and welcome, on this video you will learn how to create your first VM in VMWare Workstation PRO
This will help to understand how vmware workstation works and how use vmware workstation
By clicking in Create New Virtual Machine a new window will prompt
The first option is the easy path and the second is more advanced
We will select the recommended option and click next
Then we can choose the Operating System OS source
The VMWare workstation can boot from cd as the first option
The VMWare workstation can boot from usb as the second option
But in this case we will select the option to install the OS later and hit next
On this window you can define what OS will be installed in the Virtual Machine by picking from the drop down menu
For this video sake we will use the Linux Ubuntu, to be installed after the VM creation
Next choosing the VM and folder location in your computer host
This screen allows you to define the max size of the virtual hard drive and virtual disk configuration, we have selected to split option
Before to create the VM you can review the VM settings such as RAM, CPU, location...
If necessary some customization this screen allows the easy setting edits
Such as changing the vRAM
VCPU processors, cores an virtualization options
And other settings like networking and disks
After completing and confirming we will move to the main VMWare Workstation VM screen
This screen allows to play the VM or edit the settings back again
We will make some final settings adjustments
Now you can play your VM and install the OS
