To Organize or Not...
Do you want to be organised?
It's not always a question of wanting to be 'something' or not but more about whether being that 'something' is going to be beneficial to you in some way or other.
If the answer to the question as to whether there is a benefit in being organised is a 'yes' for you, then it stands to reason that it might be a good idea to invest some time and effort into getting there.
Should you be organised?
As I said in the video, don't should on yourself. If there is a benefit in doing something then it might be a good idea, depending on how big the benefit is to you. When running and promoting your own business, the one thing we all complain about not having enough of is TIME.
Trick is, we all have the same amount of time, the issue is really about how efficiently we use the time that we have and being organised will 100% allow you to be more efficient with yours.
Is it good to have a plan?
Fail to plan. Plan to fail…as it seems either Benjamin Franklin or Winston Churchill came up with first—not exactly sure who it was, but the principle is sound.
Trying to get to a destination without a roadmap often leads to failure and with being organised it's pretty much the same. If you're organised you're much more likely to succeed in your efforts with just about anything you do that if you're disorganised.
I pride myself with on organised yet recently, I failed! Doing some client work and being under pressure, I didn't plan my folder structure. I am dealing with a lot of files, many of which I have to reference often.
Logically they should be in one place but they are not, so when I go looking I can't find them!! Naughty Ursula!!!
I'm going to fix this problem this afternoon and reorganise these folders so that I know EXACTLY where to find what I am looking for at any given time. I should be able to find things in my sleep!!
