Drinking and Driving Expungement in Novi Michigan
Our client hired Boria Law to file for an expungement of her drinking and driving case at the 52-1 District Court in Novi Michigan.
In order to have the case expunged, or set aside, the following is required
5 years has passed since the completion of the sentence
No new offenses in that 5 year window
This is her only DUI
Has not filed within the past three years
In order to file for an expungement there needs to be an application submitted, with a certified record to the court, as well as fingerprints, and the state filing fee to Michigan state police.
The Attorney General's office will file a response and after that a hearing will be held.
At the hearing it is my job to demonstrate to the judge that expunging the offense is consistent with the public welfare.
