URBAN EXPLORATION    • Video

I woke up to a rainy day, and despite feeling a little bummed seeing that the previous day was super sunny and lovely, i decided to go out and explore a little bit. This is not an activity that I would do normally on a rainy day, usually my mood just gets caught up with the weather. Instead of staying in and munching on the internet feeds and being unproductive, i told myself:" ok since i was going to pretty much waste my day anyway, i'll at least waste it outside". And as soon as i stepped into the nearby woods, the quietness invaded me. everything everywhere was so peaceful, and all just seemed so much more meaningful and beautiful than usual. i spent an hour or so trailing the woods and this video is a result of my little walk. surprisingly, i felt super motivated afterwards and managed to get a lot of school work done that same day. then i realized, all these times i used to blame the rain on my un-productivity and my moodiness, i was just blinded by the seemingly negative things. if i go just a little bit further and look a little bit closer, there's nothing more peaceful than walking in a normally crowded street, listening to the sound of the rain drops hitting the ground, and the wind brushing against the leaves. and on the same train of thought, it's not only about a rainy day, it applies to every single day. if you look closely, or simply just take the time and go out of your way to explore, you'll find things that you would normally overlook quite fascinating. we get so consumed by things that make us angry, frustrated, and sad, so much so we forget there is positive side to everything, it's just a matter of your attitude towards finding it. i hope you like the video and get something out of it! on a technical note, it's my first time putting together a video, i hope the quality is passable and that you don't get too bored!

thanks so much!
