How to Deal With The Plateaus During Stretching?
In my stretching progress videos, some of you might have noticed that my progress is no where near linear. I often spend many weeks or months on plateaus where I make no progress at all. It is important to talk about it because it is often overlooked in some popular flexibility progress pictures.
Plateaus are INEVITABLE. They are a normal part of any skill learning journey. We often look forward to the results but feel discouraged when we don't get the results that we want. But it is important to note that being on the plateau in itself is a sign of progress - keep practicing during the plateau phase is the fuel for the next spurt of external results!
Don't get discouraged when you are not making the progress you hoped. It is a phase and it will pass. Realize that it is an important and crucial part of the journey to mastery - AND in fact, the majority of the hero's journey will be spent in those plateau phases!
