HVAC Furnace Heater - Steps to Ignition
𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬?
I woke up to a cold morning with an app notification on my phone indicating
“𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘦. 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 2 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 1.6 𝘥𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘴.”
Common issues are, and in my case, due to faulty Ignitor or Flame Sensor elements, both of which would prevent proper combustion of gas to heat the air. I cleaned or replaced both components and was able to get furnace to work again. Checkout the video…
