My 5yr old daughter asked me to build a hair dryer that she can use on her own. However, it is challenging for young children to comb their hair while simultaneously handling the dryer equipment. The feeling is likely mutual for some adults too!
I thought about getting a commercial hair/hand dryer similar to those in the changing rooms of swimming pools, but they are costly, bulky, mounted at a fixed height, difficult to replace (if broken), and most importantly not available in pink color (or Rainbow Unicorn colors so I’ve been educated).
For those reasons, I contrived a wall-mounted hair dryer that addresses the mentioned shortfalls while using common and inexpensive hardware components.
