Firecracker exploding at 1 million frames per second shot on the Pharsighted E9•100S ultra high speed camera. Firecrackers are a small explosive device primarily designed to produce a large amount of noise. The key to loud firecrackers, although in part lying in the propellant substance, is pressure. The entire firecracker must be very tightly packed for it to work best. Wrapped tightly in cardboard paper you can see the amount of energy released in a small object.
The Pharsighted E9•100S ultra high frame rate maxes out at 2,720,000fps at 640 x 32 for over 8 seconds of record buffer with maximum memory option. Blistering exposer shutter speeds of 59ns or 0.06 microseconds, to capture the richness of detail in high velocity movements. These features added to the class leading backside-illuminated senor with ISO of 160,000 Monochrome and 40,000 Color.
