Celebrating 4th of July with fireworks is an American tradition and a great source of family entertainment when used safely. Firecrackers are a small explosive device primarily designed to produce a large amount of noise. The key to loud firecrackers, although in part lying in the propellant substance, is pressure. The entire firecracker must be very tightly packed for it to work best. Wrapped tightly in cardboard paper you can see the amount of energy released in a small object.
