Improving access to clean water in Zawia South
In collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, UNDP supported the municipality of Zawia South to establish a new water purification plant.
"The new purification plant has helped alleviate the water scarcity crisis by providing access to safe drinking water, ultimately improving the quality of life for local residents who were previously deprived of this essential resource," said Ms Zahra Salim, a Member of the Local Council.
This initiative is part of UNDP's Local Peacebuilding and Resilience project supported by the European Union-funded Baladiyati.
