Program: TinkerCAD
TinkerCAD is a great website that has a lot of power for quickly creating 3d solid models that have somewhat of a limitation on their Geometric complexity. However, even if it appears weak and simplistic, with a good technique you may create pro-level designs.
The classic model of circular geometry is the fidget spinner. It is a plastic body with four bearings in it that provide equal weight distribution and smooth spinning around a center of gravity. The bearsings are the same you would see in a roller skate or skateboard., they are known as ”608” bearings.
You will see me use the form of a bearing to create the body using a series of overlapping cylyndrical objects of varied sizes and complexity. Techniques of balance are used to achieve centered rotations and proper shaped cutouts. Making one of these is EASIER in AutoCAD or Inventor, but certainly possible with a little forward thinking in TinkerCAD. Stay tuned for more TinkerCAD demos.
