Running rhetorics and a notes app full of thought dumps later, here is the truth about truth — we want IT, but often only when it coincides and correlates with our version of it 🤷🏽♀️. We don’t get to pick and choose truths, nor can we ask for the truth only to reject it afterward because we don’t like how it makes us feel when it’s too raw. Peas and pancakes are both food, but for sure don’t hit the palate in the same way. If you ask for honesty, be open to accepting that it’s truth you need, and truth that can better you. Not liking a truth, doesn’t erase its veracity. We need to work more on accepting truths, especially the ones we ask for, and learn how to work on characteristic traits that block us from realizing where we fall short 🙏🏽 .
