Several ‘killed in knife attack’ at festival in Germany
Three people were killed and four seriously injured on Friday night when a man attacked passers-by with a knife in the western German city of Solingen, according to reports.

The newspaper Bild said the attacker had stabbed people at random at about 9.45pm local time at a festival being held in the city.
Witnesses said the perpetrator fled in the aftermath of the attack, the paper reported. Local police said they were not yet able to comment.
According to initial information, several people were seriously injured and at least three people had died, Bild reported. Dozens of rescue workers were at the scene treating the wounded.
