The astonishing airada pop artist Melagiūkštė, an alias that Raimeda Viliumaitė used to go by on her AɪʀᴀᴅA era, released her second and last album in 1996, titled Laivo kapitonas (transl. Captain of the ship).
Raimeda started her singing career in 1995 when she released her first album, Ištikimam draugui, on the AɪʀᴀᴅA label, with a lot of amazing airada pop that really gave off pirate/captain music vibes. Some of the songs from that album, Čigonės akys and Sudie, were featured on the first Muzikinė ruletė compilation album, which you can listen to here —

A cool fact about the first album is that Silvija Mikelionytė—the same one from Casino, Žvaigždės, Žvaigždės-3, L.E.W.A.S., Dainuokim lig aušros, etc.—did the backing vocals for Melagiūkštė's first album, but the second one.
Melagiūkštė turned out to record more songs than expected for her first album, which excluded Vien tik seksas, a song that was only included on the second Muzikinė ruletė, which you can listen to here —

The same thing happened one year later, in 1996, when Melagiūkštė began recording new songs for her next album, Laivo kapitonas, except she recorded, once again, more songs than expected for the album: Rožių žieda (featured on "Meilės sūkury 11") and Šešiolikinė (featured on "Megafonas 2").
We wouldn't see Melagiūkštė's presence until 1999 when she released this album, Laivo kapitonas as a reissue, this time the cover would be one of Ingrida Rutkauskaitė's artworks and there wouldn't be any pictures of the beautiful Raimeda.
However, we would finally see her face again in 2000 when she joined the pop band Zanavykai, releasing the album Vėjas, singing along with Andrius Krištolaitis. Here are some beautiful live performances of this amazing band! —

Then in 2002, it'd be the last time we'd see her, as Zanavykai put an end to their discography with their dance pop album Vieniši. Here are some songs from the album —

Melagiūkštė is definitely one of my favourite AɪʀᴀᴅA artists ever, her music is truly incredible, but what's there to expect from airada pop?!
I love her so much, and I wish I could hear from Raimeda, I hope she's doing very well!
