The modern era hits hard in Stacklands, and in this episode, everything spirals the moment we unlock uranium power. Our peaceful mid-game city suddenly becomes a sprawling industrial puzzle of pollution, science, oil rigs, and exploding demand for educated workers.
We attempt to build both the nuclear plant and the oil power plant, only to realize we’re missing half the workforce we need. The academy mysteriously vanished in a previous fire, smog starts piling up from uranium storage, and suddenly we’re juggling pollution control, worker shortages, water grids, electric motors, factory parts, and laboratory construction.
And then the bottlenecks begin.
Science production stalls. Educated workers run out. The entire grid threatens to collapse. We scramble to rebuild the academy, rush new workers, automate what we can, and sell off uranium before our smog spikes out of control. Oil rigs barely keep the lights on as we push deeper into the tech tree, unlocking airports, particle colliders, and the all-important robot workers that finally break the workforce crisis.
By the time we stabilize, we’ve built hydroponic farms, expansion housing, recycling centers for pollution cleanup, and a city with more power than it knows what to do with.
The nuclear age has arrived, messy, chaotic, and completely game-changing.
