Google March Core Update Day 4 18 March 2023
Welcome to Crawl or No Crawl - this is Carolyn Holzman and today is Mar 18 - Day Number 561 of the indexation research project.

We had a new desktop bot arrive late on the 17th -
No search console page report update yet - normally they are every 3rd day
Old rollback has been restored - pages that were previously findable became unfindable only to become findable again.
Those tests March 5th and 10th have been updated.
Now we have NEW rollback- ish March 7th test - now they are only pulling up the pages if searched in quotes. That’s a pre-served status.
Here’s the bot log - I’ve reduced the view to just the bots that are crawling.
You can see the new bot coming in strong on the 17th - still a good amount of render crawling on some sites.

We made an accidental discovery and deep data dives are ongoing so we will have charts and graphs and patterns galore
Because its possible that there are somethings that look like a hit during an update but are anything but.
