It’s a PUSH. Not a pull. 🤯

Part 1 got you set up on the machine.
Part 2 gave you the order of operations.

Part 3 will help you get the most out of every stroke by using the legs to PUSH in the drive.

If it feels like you’re not getting any “resistance” - it may be that you’re not in the right position and missing that quick leg drive to push your body back to the finish.

(It’s NOT that your damper is too low. Raising it to a 10 simply allows you to keep rowing inefficiently.)

To make up for the missing push, some folks will open their bodies too soon and feel the stroke in their back, or they will muscle in the stroke at the finish and overly fatigue their arms.

Skip all that and use your legs!!

Use part 1 & 2 of the tips to sit in the best position on the machine and then get the body set so the shoulders are in front of the hips at the catch.

Then you PUSH!

The majority of the work is done in that first part of the drive when you can hang your body weight on the handle and use your legs. Don’t miss it.

So, again, keep it simple. Row slow. Master the basics. It pays off in the long run.
