Ray Hayden here, and this is a short video of one flight of many on 4 May 2024, of the Phantom Brigade making a water jump into Lake Dora, Florida.
The aircraft took off from Leesburg Airport (KLEE), and flew over to Lake Dora for the jumps. Many flights took place, and on each flight, the C-47 aircraft would make two passes, dropping parachutists on each pass before returning to Leesburg airport to pick up another load.
On this set of drops, a friend of ours was in the first group of jumpers. The boat we were on for this trip was piloted by his lovely wife.
Of note, all of those participating in the jumps are either active duty or retired parachutists from the military.
