Liyue Medley - Yu-peng Chen | NTU Guitar Ensemble
Performed by NTU Guitar Ensemble at Nocturne 2022, held at NTU Nanyang Auditorium on 26 March 2022.
This medley features music from the game Genshin Impact. Liyue is one of the regions in the game world, which has a unique aesthetic with Chinese and Eastern influences. This is also reflected in Liyue’s music, it takes a foundation of Western orchestral music, and combines it with Chinese instruments. When it’s arranged for guitar ensemble, an alto cembalo guitar is used to create the special tone of Chinese instruments. The medley consists of three songs, “Moon in One’s Cup”, “Rapid as Wildfires” and “Liyue”.
