Most people remember the US Marines at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir.
However, the US 7th Division was located on the eastern side of the Chosin Reservoir during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir.
They were the only US unit to advance as far as Hyesanjin, the Korea-Manchurian border.
November 25, 1950, the Chinese Second Offensive.
Even though they had advanced to the Korea-Manchurian border,
the Chinese had already reached the rear, creating an absurd situation.
The Chinese forces completely surrounded the US 1st and 7th Marine Divisions and launched a full-scale attack.
