This is the first video in a series of eight that takes a comprehensive look at ellipses.
In this video we start with the definition of an ellipse: the set of all points where the sum of the distances to two fixed points is a constant. We use that definition to draw an ellipse and from that drawing we locate the foci, center, vertices, semi-major axis, semi-minor axis.
