This is the eigth video in a series of eight that takes a comprehensive look at the parabola.
In this advanced video we move away from parabolas that only open vertically and horizontally. We look at parabolas that can open at any angle. We go back to the definition of a parabola: the set of all points equally distant from a fixed point (focus) and a fixed line (directrix). We choose a random line and a random point and show how to generate a parabola from that information.
