Standing and seated barbell overhead press. This is a fundamental exercise for developing the shoulders and triceps. Stand upright, grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder width, and press it overhead from the chest until your arms are fully extended. Keep your core tight and avoid arching your lower back. The same movement can be done seated on a bench with an upright backrest. The seated version isolates the shoulders more and reduces stress on the lower back, allowing you to focus on the press.
