I've always had several different ideas to pursue but have consistently struggled with starting. Recently, I thought of an app to start or create, and what better way to actually start, than with a challenge.
From never going from never coding, to trying to learn how to code and create an app in 30 days ways definitely an ambitious goal. Even though I was unable to achieve this goal I am happy that I actually started instead of having an idea and never pursuing it. Also, even though I was nowhere near achieving my goal, I will be readjusting it and continuing it.
I had quite a few different takeaways from this challenge and they typically revolve around goal setting.
1. Know what you're trying to achieve and set realistic goals, in realistic timelines.
2. Break big goals down into smaller goals.
3. When you lose motivation, go back to the drawing board and reevaluate.
4. When you don't achieve your goal at the end, don't give up. Readjust and set new goals.
If you've been like me and struggled to start something, go out and set some goals around it. Figure out the first steps you need to take to get that going and started. Lastly, it comes down to action, so be sure you go out there and take action!
