Due to a manager going on sick leave in 1981, I was moved from a Program Developer role to a Video Production Leader role at Wickes Lumber's headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan.
I had joined Wickes' Training Services department in August of 1979 after graduating with a degree in radio/TV/Film but had been assigned to the Program Development part of our 10-person department as I had field experience as an Inside Sales Person at the Lumber Center in Lawrence Kansas.
For my temporary reassignment, I created a formal process for project planning, conduct, and reporting, based on the less formal processes I had created back in the late 1970s for my film class projects at the University of Kansas.
