5 Hours at the Whirlpool… Then This Steelhead Hit
Spent 5 hours fishing the Niagara Whirlpool with no bites. Clear water, good conditions, floating all morning… nothing.
Decided to switch things up and head to Port Dalhousie. Tied on a bottom bounce (3-way) rig, made a couple casts… and hooked into a chrome steelhead.
6.4 lb female and one of the hardest fighting fish I’ve landed in a while. Even getting her into the net was a battle.
Sometimes one small adjustment makes all the difference.
