Lake Simcoe Ice Fishing in a Blizzard - Perch Highlights & Hut Cooking
We headed out ice fishing on Lake Simcoe during a full on blizzard, fishing out of Mitchell’s Fish Huts with my father in law and brother in law.
This video is a highlights edit from the day. Battling the weather, fishing inside the hut, sorting through perch, and filleting and cooking a couple right on the ice for a quick taste test. We caught a lot of fish throughout the day, but I focused this edit on the better perch and the moments that mattered most.
We ended up keeping 18 solid perch, fried up two on the ice, and wrapped things up with a snowy ride back and a peaceful sunset drive home.
