Awesome Autumn Soundscapes Created by Common Cranes and Whooper Swans
In autumn both Common Cranes and Whooper Swans gather together to start their migration from Finland to their overwintering areas. Then they can spend several days grazing in large open fields, where , they stay, most of the time, relatively quiet, but every now and they can give very loud concerts. With cranes, this happens basically every time before they leave the field in order to spend the night somewhere else. And sometimes this soundscape is made even more impressive by their loud voices echoing back from the forest surrounding the field.
En automne, les grues cendrées et les cygnes chanteurs se rassemblent pour commencer leur retour de la Finlande vers leurs zones d'hivernage. Ils peuvent ensuite passer plusieurs jours à pâturer dans de grands champs, où ils restent, la plupart du temps, relativement tranquilles, mais, de temps en temps, ils peuvent donner des concerts très bruyants.
