Today we feature the Uma Uma from the Kon-Tiki in Oakland, CA. The drink was created by Christ Aivaliotis who's inspiration for this drink was the Chi-Chi... a vodka based Piña Colada. Lucky for us, he changed it to a light rum.
This ends up being one of the few crushable blender drinks that I've ever come across. A majority of the sweetness comes from the pineapple juice and the cream of coconut recipe adds a delicious coconut flavor without very much sweetness when compared to most recipes. I love it. It's great!
