The Raven-6DoF development kit, featuring Direct Drive Linear Motor technology, provides an advanced solution for custom Stewart platform design. This state-of-the-art Motion Control system uses Electric Cylinder Actuators and Linear Slide Actuators, offering Long Stroke and Precision Linear Actuation. Actuators come with encoders for accurate positioning, showcasing the best in Force Feedback and Force Controlled Linear Actuator technology. The Force Sensing Linear Motors enhance user interaction by integrating force feedback into simulations for increased realism and immersion. In this example a Raven-6DoF kit, coupled with a 100amphr LiFePO4 battery pack, has been used to simulate the stabilization of a 55-gallon barrel of water in sea state 3. This simulation, conducted in Unity, demonstrates the kit's capabilities in physics simulation, where stabilization and forward/inverse kinematics are performed by the onboard FPGA system.
