In this video, I go over how to use a ball to release hamstring tension while seated.
As a sports chiropractor I work with a lot of people who have low back pain and tight hamstrings. A lot of times they are closely tied together. The body l loves to move and when an area like the hamstrings tighten up they can limit your movement. Specifically, your ability to flex forward at the waist.
When your forward bending is limited by tight hamstrings a lot of times your body will pass that stress upstream to your low back and ask it for more movement. This isn't a big deal, but over time it can become problematic and that tissue that's moving a little excessively in the low back can become irritated over time.
So in this video we're going to use a ball to get some tension out of those hamstrings and hopefully help improve the way your body moves!
