Karaoke Like Cover of Iron Maiden - The Troop
This is another Nuendo dump via OBS Studio. This time it's my cover of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper". It's not nearly perfect... There's only so many times I can play this before my right arm falls off. So, I'm sure you'll hear a little hitch, here and there. I told myself I'd recut the tracks if anyone wanted to sing it, and sing it well.
There's no solo... I started learning the solo, but without anyone to sing it, I moved on to something else. I learn a ton of songs in this manner, only to never play them again.
So, If you'd like to sing it, or play the lead for it, please steal this cut and do with it what you'd like. You don't even HAVE TO give me any credit, but it'd be cool if you did. I'd like to hear it...
Again with Addictive Drums and Native Instruments Kontakt Scarbee Bass. I can play bass, but there was no way I was going to develop Steve Harris's four-finger gallup just for this.
The guitars were once again plugged directly into the recording interface and I used Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 to model the amp sounds. The left is a Dual RammFire patch, while the right is a mod'ed Foo Monkey Gratifier. I backed the drive down a little on both, which you can hear in the intro and outro. That helped keep the gallup well defined and punchy, instead of a bunch of high gain distortion running everything together.
