Rhythm Run-Thru: The Sloop John B. - One Hit Wonders
Trying to get my chugger chugging this morning. Too much of this is what makes me feel my rotator cuff.
A very interesting history of the Sloop John B., from the laying of its keel, to its wreck... The poem; A Bahamian folk song; to the Beach Boy classic, all the way to the One Hit Wonders. Lots of fun to play and with some alternative lyrics, would make a great song to play in a bar, until the last line, "This is the worst bar, I've ever played in..." and we get kicked out. Better save it for the end of the last set.
