Ah, the DOE. The gift that kept on giving at one point. You've seen the likes of 'Shame', 'Mess', and more recently, 'Classroom' - the melodramatic ways in which cars can roll over, do backflips and flatten people like pancakes. And this one is no exception - here though, we have a young unbuckled lad doing a whole entire Cirque du Soleil performance all within a fraction of a few seconds, flying around the interior of a small hatchback doing acrobatics, breaking his buckled friends' necks in the process, before finally diving full force straight into his girlfriend's head, using her as his own personal crashmat - how very considerate of her!
In all seriousness though, I'm sure this made a lot of people buckle up, and it has gone down in history as being one of the most influential seatbelt PIFs ever made. Sure, you probably won't do a whole circus act as Michael did, but this along with the likes of 'Julie' and 'Elephant' really did hit home just how important buckling up is - not just for your own safety, but for the safety of other occupants too.
For those struggling to understand the thick Irish accent of the paramedic at the end, he says: "Three dead in this vehicle - a girl who's critical. They say the guy without the seatbelt did the damage."
